The 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey map (1875) near Bexhill shows the line referred to as L.B & S.C.R (the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway), the Brighton & Hastings branch, but on the 4th edition of the Ordnance Survey Map (1930) shows the railway line marked as the Southern Railway east of Norman's Bay.
