Summary : Possible site of Saxon monastery. It is said the Saints Edburga and Edith, daughters of King Redwald (died before 627) took the veil at Aylesbury, and that St Osyth was buried there. Leland also refers to a house of Trinitarians there, although that may have been a possession only.
