MONUMENT NO. 1351357

The earthwork and buried remains of a Medieval ringwork situated 90 metres east of Plowden Mill above the southern valley side of the River Onny. The ringwork is rectangular in plan and defined by a ditch on southern and eastern sides. The spoil excavated from the ditch has been used to create a steep flat topped mound and along its south and east sides are the remains of an earthen bank. Within the interior are a series of undulations, possibly marking the remains of former buildings. This feature was recorded earlier as SO 38 NE 18. Scheduled.
