More information : The Roman road running from Buxton to Brough is visible as earthworks on air photographs, centred at SK 1819 8264. To the east of Navio Roman fort (UID 309471) the feature runs for approximately 110m turning from a roughly south-easterly direction to the south. The feature is also visible as a bank earthwork to the south west of the fort in the area north of Green Dale over a distance of approximately 700m. The feature does not appear to be extant on the latest EARTH.GOOGLE.COM photography (accessed 15-OCT-2009).
