Summary : House constructed during the 17th century with possible later additions, on the site of a Templars and Hospitallers Preceptory, (see ST 72 SW 4). It is constructed of local stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, with a hipped Welsh slate roof and brick chimney stacks. The house has a L-shaped plan and has two storeys. There is a projecting stair turret on the east side, with a plain doorway and various ovolo mould mullioned windows. A long non-domestic wing is present which may incorporate medieval fragments, although most of the windows are modern; one ovolo mould window and a moulded door surround may have been reused. |
