Summary : A round cairn of possible Bronze Age date. Ordnance Survey field investigation in 1974 recorded a gutted round cairn 12 metres in diameter and 0.6 metres high, while the 1993 scheduling amendment describes it as measuring 13.3 metres by 11.5 metres and up to 1.2 metres high. They are presumably the same site. A central hollow probably represents antiquarian excavation. |

NY 69220848 Round cairn 450m NE of Mazon Wath. An oval mound of largely turf-covered limestone rubble up to 1.2m high with maximum dimensions of 13.3m by 11.5m. There is a central hollow c2m in diameter and 0.4m deep indicating unrecorded antiquarian excavation; scheduled. (4) |
