Summary : Parish Church, late 13th century origin, rebuilt in 1839, probably by W A Nicholson and C A Wiloughby, and paid for by Rev. Mr Chaplin. The church was re-built in an ornate Gothic style, it is constructed from rendered brick and rubble with lead roofs hidden behind high parapets or battlements. There is a late 13th century north arcade with three bays and some 16th century imported glass. The chancel was restored in 1883 by C H Fowler. |
