Summary : The original station at Osterley opened on 1st May 1883 as Osterley and Spring Grove on the Hounslow and Metropolitan Railway, the Metropolitan District Railway's branch to Hounslow Town. The street level building was located on the west side of Thornbury Road. The station closed in 1934 when it was superceded by a new station (TQ 17 NW 39) situated to the west at the side of the Great West Road. The awnings and retaining walls of the old station were demolished in 1957 but the road-level building still remains.
