Summary : A disc barrow, part of the Oakley Down barrow group (SU 01 NW 19). Listed by RCHME as Wimborne St Giles 113 and by Grinsell as Wimborne St Giles 7, it comrpises two mounds surrounded by a single ditch and outer bank. The central mound is 28 feet in diameter and 3 feet high, while the other, to the northwest, is 25 feet in diameter and 2.5 feet high. The berm is 45 feet across, and the ditch is 15 feet wide and 1.5 feet deep. The outer bank is of "similar dimensions" to the ditch. The barrow was dug into by Cunnington in 1803 (Cunnington and Hoare's barrow 7). One of the mounds proved to have been dug into previously; the other contained a cremation with amber beads.
