TURRET 52B

DESCRIPTION + /

The possible site of Roman turret 52B, part of the defences supporting Hadrian's Wall. There is no surface trace of the turret; the wall here lies beneath the modern road and the precise position remains uncertain (the grid reference for the turret at NY 5700 6457 is at the postulated point midway between milecastle 53 and turret 53A).
