Summary : A possible bowl barrow, one of a group located immediately northwest of Maiden Castle (SY 68 NE 7), only just outside the ramparts. The barrow is not listed by either Grinsell or RCHME. Although marked on Ordnance Survey maps from at least 1963, there is no description of the suggested barrow in Ordnance Survey records, and in 1980 and Ordnance Survey field investigator noted no visible remains at the recorded location. Scheduled. This barrow was formerly recorded as part of SY 68 NE 30. That record should be consulted for additional sources and information.
