Summary : A circular enclosure is visible as a cropmark on air photographs. It may be a hengiform monument. Four randomly arranged pits appear to be present within the enclosed area. This appears to be the same monument as that listed by Harding & Lee as their site 011, which they site to TF 0854 0669, and escribe as having an internal diameter of circa 21 metres (as against an overall diameter of 20 metres for the enclosure described above), and they noted no internal features. This site is one a series of hengiform and funerary monuments located in the vicinity of the Barnack cursus (TF 00 NE 219), and was originally recorded as part of TF 00 NE 195. |
