Summary : A bowl barrow on Skellaw Hill; a circular mound of earth and stones 17m in diameter and up to 1.5m high; 19th century? excavation found human remains.
More information : (NY 55641547) Tumulus (NR) (1) Unclassified Mound on Skellaw Hill 48'-50' in diameter and 4' high. (2) A probable round barrow in poor condition. Published survey 1/2500 correct. (3) Human bones were found a "few years ago" when the tumulus at Skellaw was dug into. (4) NY 55641547 Skellaw Hill bowl barrow. A circular mound of earth and stones 17m in diameter and up to 1.5m high; scheduled. (5)
