DESCRIPTION + /

The remains of a small multivallate hillfort, located on a promontory at the southern end of Kinver Edge. Three sides of the fort are protected solely by the natural steepness of the site. The neck of the promontory is defended by two large cross banks which curve north west to south east and end on steep natural slopes. The hillfort measures 230 metres by 160 metres overall. Originally, the defences would have consisted of two banks with a ditch between them. Part of an Iron Age quern has been found on the site. Scheduled.
