A Second World War military training site is visible as an earthwork and recorded during field investigations on Bossington Hill. The remains conmprise a triangular circuit, now visible as a grass covered track which measures 130m east/west and 120m north/south. The corresponding target railway is recorded as SS 94 NW 143. The circuit was accessed via Hill Road (SS 94 NW 96). This is one of three tank circuits built on North Hill for tank training (SS 94 NW 64).
