The remains of a possible Second World War gun emplacement is visible as an earthwork between East Combe and Henners Combe. The emplacement is defined by a mound which measures 34m by 21m and 2m high and this provides a sub circular apron for the gun position. The gun position functioned as part of the Second World War tank training range recorded as SS 94 NW 64.
