More information : Landscape park, woodland and gardens at Scarisbrick Hall. Woodland is present on the park boundaries with wooded areas to the south and also north and northwest of the house. Landscaping occurred during the mid 19th century. It is known that Humphry Repton was asked in 1802 to produce plans for a house and park but neither were implemented. Ornamental gardens are present to the south, west and north of the house, formal gardens are to the south. (1)
The park was probably formed in the 1790s and replanted, possibly using Repton's scheme after 1803. The gardens are 19th century in date. (2) |
