Formal gardens covering an area of 0.3 hectares, first laid out in the 1730s by William Sands for Maurice Johnston. Alterations to the gardens took place in 1794. Additions to the gardens took place during the 19th century. The gardens were opened as a public park after 1902. (2)
Named as Ayscoughfee Gardens. The Yew Tree Walk is dated to the 1720s, while there is a War Memorial designed by Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens. Additional features of the park include an ornamental lake adjoining the War Memorial, ice house, Peace Garden and Herb Garden, children's playground, tennis courts, bowling green and putting green. Grade II. Church Gate, east side. Brick garden wall to Ayscoughfee Hall along the road to the south west of the house, and at right angles to it. Part repaired, with four-centred doorway with keystone to south. Rusticated quoins. Base part stone. Forms a group with Ayscoughfee Hall and the War Memorial in the gardens.
