Summary : A churchyard cross within the churchyard of the Church of St James. The base and a section of the shaft are set on three steps. The first step is set flush with the ground. The second and third steps are of dressed sandstone blocks. The block base is of finely carved sandstone which is square rising to an octagonal and there are grotesque beasts at each shoulder. The shaft is octagonal with a modern wooden cross set on top. The cross dates from the 15th century, is Scheduled and Listed Grade II.
