Summary : The date of construction of the Wharfingers Cottage at the Tower of London is uncertain. It is situated to the south of the old Engine House, now a ticket office. In 1914 it was suggested that the Engine House and the cottage be enlarged and converted to a Tea House. The outbreak of the First World War prevented this from happening.
