Summary : The Museum of the Royal Fusiliers at the Tower of London originated as an Officers Mess in 1845 on the site of two great houses built between 1699 and 1701 for the Surveyor and Clerk of the Ordnance. It is in a castellated Gothic Revival with domestic Tudor detail of two storeys. The building is listed together with the raised terrace with piers at the front.
