Summary : The Main Quadrangle of Wadham College was constructed 1610-13, it contains a chapel, hall, kitchen, library and cloister. There are late 18th century alterations, the stonework was renewed in 1935-36 and 1939. The Warden's Lodgings were moved from the west range to the north range in 1626-40, and altered in 1812 and 1832. Restorations on the chapel were carried out in 1832 and 1885-6, it was also repaired in 1908. The hall roof was constructed in 1611 and repaired 1908. The kitchen was rebuilt in 1872. |
