More information : TF 1184 0816 Site 32 in the earlier RCHM survey of cropmarks on the river gravels, published in 1960. (a) In 1997, RCHME Aerial Survey undertook a computer-aided transcription at 1:10,000 scale of the Maxey Complex area. A single ring ditch was seen as a cropmark, near the northern end of the cursus (TF 10 NW 58), only 35 m to the south-west. It is 20 m in diameter; and on the east facing side there is an arrangement of pits, one to either side of a possible entrance, and another opposite. This feature may be a Prehistoric round barrow or could potentially be a hengiform monument of Neolithic date. (1) |
