More information : A curvilinear, open-ended enclosure was seen as a cropmark and transcribed at 1:2500 scale by RCHME Aerial Survey. It lies at TF 1390 0763, approximately 180 m due north of Etton Causewayed Enclosure (TF 10 NW 51). The proximity of this and other similar, enigmatic enclosures might suggest the potential for a similar date. The enclosure is asymmetric in plan and 100m wide; aligned north to south, the open end faces south. The ditch on the west side of the enclosure is confused by those of a trackway, associated with a field system, which takes a similar course towards the causewayed enclosure. A large ring ditch, 24 m in diameter, probably a Prehistoric round barrow, lies within the enclosure. These features are probably destroyed now as a result of gravel extraction. (1)
