TREAGO CASTLE

DESCRIPTION + /

A fortified house which was formerly moated. Treago Castle is said to have been extant in the reign of Edward II, but, though some of the walls may be of this age, the building itself presents no definite evidence of any work earlier than the 15th to 16th centuries. Interior alterations were made in the 17th century and in 1840 it was further modernised.
