KENTCHURCH COURT

Country house, incorporating the gateway and tower of a 14th century fortified house or castle, which was enlarged circa 1500 and again during the 16th and 17th centuries. It was also extensively remodelled by Nash between 1795-1807. Further alterations took place in the 20th century. The stone-built house is irregular in plan, with the early tower at the north east angle.
