Summary : Formerly the Home for Incurables of the Border Counties. Designed in 1884 by G D Oliver in the `English Domestic Gothic Style' and opened in 1885. A chapel was built in 1894 and a cancer wing in 1895. Demolished c.1992, the site is now (2015)occupied by a supermarket.
