Summary : Part of Ermine Street Roman road (Linear 314) was seen as cropmarks, but has subsequently been built over by an airfield.
More information : Part of Ermine Street Roman road was seen as cropmarks and mapped from poor quality air photographs. Three short sections of Roman road were seen as cropmarks of parallel ditches. They were seen on early vertical photography and have since had Waddington airfield built over them. The sections are between 80m and 210m long and run from SK 9842 6355 to SK 9855 6269.
