Summary : Possible Roman road seen as cropmarks, forms a branch off Ermine Street, extending for 360m.
More information : A section of Roman road was visible as cropmarks and mapped from good quality air photographs. It was visible as four ditches, with the outer two being discontinous and extending for 360m from SK 9686 9239 and SK 9652 9226. It abuts and lies to the east of Ermine Street, and appears to be a branch off this Roman road. (Morph No. LI.596.1.1) This description is based on data from the RCHME MORPH2 database. (1)
