OLD WARDOUR BAILEY WALLS

Fourteenth century bailey walls to Old Wardour Castle, remodelled during the 1570s by Robert Smythson. The walls are comstructed of dressed limestone and are approximately six metres high. They partially enclose a hexagonal area with a rectangular extension to the north east.
