Summary : Parish church by 1706. First mentioned 1217. A chapel-of-ease to Paul until 1650. Rebuilt in 1793 by George Pycock of Hull with a cupola over the West end and fenestrated in Gothic style. Bad repair in 1865. The church was replaced by an Anglican parish church built 1883-4 by JT Webster of Hedon. A small building of hammer-dressed stone, west portal with bellcote above. Stained glass by Kempe.
