Summary : Possible Medieval or Post Medieval settlement consisting of crofts seen as earthworks.
More information : Parallel and perpendicular boundary ditches to the NE of Willoughton, centred SK 9330 9333 and SK 9313 9349, were visible as earthworks and mapped from good quality air photographs. They are interpreted as croft boundaries and are probably part of Medieval or Post Medieval village settlement. Other settlement remains associated with Willoughton village are recorded in SK 99 SW 6, 30 & 48. (Morph No. LI.618.5.1-2) This description is based on data from the RCHME MORPH2 database. (1)
