Summary : Former Benedictine Priory Church built shortly before 1199, the roofline of the Priory buildings being visible on the tower, which in common with many North Devon churches is on the North side of the church. The chancel has a 12th century arch, the South aisle and nave are 15th century. The East end of the North aisle indicates restoration after the Civil War. The tower was restored in 1689. |
