The measured position of Milecastle 68 is near Boomby Gill. (2)

No visible remains. (3)

An old excavation trench at NY 3709 5717. It appears to have been opened in an attempt to find the NW angle of the milecastle, but without apparent success, although many undressed stones, some large, have been revealed. (4)

Grid reference NY 3711 5715 indicates the measured position only. There is no surface evidence for the milecastle and no trace of the trench seen by Authority (4). (5)
