Summary : Probable site of a Roman milecastle, Roman coins were found in 1861 during railway construction, no visible remains.
More information : (NY 3810 5640) MC 67 (NAT) (1) (NY 3824 5641) Roman Coins found here. (2) (No Symbol) Roman Coins found AD 1861. (3) It is probable that Milecastle 67 (Stainton) lay at the south end of Silloth Railway Bridge where Roman coins were found (4) in 1861 while making the railway cutting (5). (4-5)
