More information : Probable Prehistoric or Roman ditched enclosures and a trackway were seen as cropmarks and mapped from good quality air photographs. An asymmetric rectilinear enclosure, measuring 50m by 40m, is centred at SK 9744 5178. A trackway extends along the its west side and continues north for 170m. At the north end of the track is another enclosure centred at SK 9753 5192. This enclosure measures 50m by 40m and has an entrance in its slightly curved east and west sides. Between the two enclosures are perpendicular ditches which may be two sides of another enclosure. The track runs through the enclosure and the boundary ditches but it is not clear what the relationship is, if there is any, between the features. (Morph No. LI.864.1.1-2, 2.1-2)
