More information : SX 7434278982. A small three-sided structure 20m E of Hound Tor. The structure is square and measures 2.0m internally with coursed boulder walls 0.8m wide and 1.2m high. The interior is levelled into the moderate slope and open to the W. Its function is unclear, though the relatively well preserved state would indicate a post-medieval origin. It does not appear to overlie any earlier feature. (1)
A probably post-medieval shelter, recorded during field survey in 1995, is visible as a structure on 2021 Next Perspectives APGB vertical aerial photography. The site was mapped from aerial sources in 2023 during the Historic England Dartmoor-Plym project. It comprises a three-sided structure open to the south-west, standing close to the western end of a Bronze Age reave (NRHE 899113). (2)
