More information : The remains of Medieval settlement were visible as earthworks around the modern village of Muckton and these have been mapped from good quality air photographs. The remains of tofts and crofts were visible as fragmentary ditch defined rectilinear enclosures. They are centred at TF 3732 8146, TF 3725 8141, TF 3729 8125, TF 3744 8126, TF 3752 8132, TF 3774 8136, TF 3764 8171. Three blocks of ridge and furrow survive out of the field system that once surrounded the Medieval settlement centred at TF 3730 8141, TF 3726 8135, and TF 3743 8149. (Morph No. LI.145.1.1-13)
The earthworks have all been ploughed except those to the south-east and south-west of Manor Farm.
