Summary : Probable Medieval shrunken village; enclosures, crew yards and buildings seen as earthworks.
More information : A Medieval shrunken village was mapped from poor quality air
photographs. The following features were identified:-

Four large embanked enclosures, ranging in width from 32m to 60m,
(located at SK 9834 2821, SK 9825 2839, SK 9830 2849). Amongst
these enclosures were recorded three crewyards, approximately 10m
wide, (located at SK 9826 2836, SK 9822 2841, SK 9830 2827) and two
possible building platforms, rectangular and approximatley 8m by
18m, (located at SK 9830 2852 and SK 9828 2837).
