An aligned road runs due west of the Romanized trackway, the High Street RR 270, passing the Roman walled site at Caistor (TA 10 SW 9), and across flat country as far as North Kelsey. It is raised, generally 36 feet wide and 1-2 feet high and follows the same alignment throughout, much of it with a parish boundary. There are some indications of alignments and roads or parish boundaries beyond North Kelsey which may represent a continuation to Ermine Street (RR 2d - LINEAR 314). (1)
