Summary : Gatehouse at Tamworth Castle. The gateway was a 19th century reworking of part of the 13th century North Gate. The whole was deconstructed, circa 1980, believed to be unsafe. However the stones were numbered and kept and reconstruction was under consideration at the time of survey.
