More information : Wade's Causeway - Wheeldale Gill. " A patch of metalling of the Roman road can be observed on the west side of the cart track [at `O4' on map - SE 8109 9892]. This short length was exposed by Mr James Patterson between 1935 and 1940. It is about 17 feet wide with possible kerbstones on the west." (1)
