The features described by authority (1) above were plotted at 1:2,500 scale in September 1996 by Aerial Survey staff of RCHME as part of the Industry and Enclosure in the Neolithic Project.
The enclosure is trapezoidal in shape and 80m by 70m in maximum dimensions. There is an entrance midway along its western side and traces of an intenal dividing ditch. Several linear ditches lie outside the enclosure to the north and south-east which are on the same alignement and therefore considered to be contemporary with the enclosure. One of these ditches has been previously described in record SU 97 NE 140. (2) |
