Summary : Bronze artefacts, possibly Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age (findspot)
More information : Four bronze artefacts tentatively dated to Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age ie Continental Hallstatt C, were found 17-20cm below the surface at ST888254, north east of the north entrance to Castle Rings [see Associated Monuments]. The finds are:- a tanged chisel, two parallel sided gouges and a fragmentary U-sectioned bronze band which is apparently part of a bossed or 'nut-moulded' bracelet. (1)
