Summary : No visible remains of the Roman road.
More information : To the west of Carr Hill, excavation undertaken in 1893 revealed that the Military Way occupied the north berm as far west as NZ 008 685 (about 400m west of the farm) (1a). The Military Way running along the north berm of the Vallum was traced from Carr Hill eastwards to milecastle 20; before it reached milecastle 19 it changes to the normal position between the Vallum and the Wall (1b). Nothing can be seen from the ground in these areas. (1)
