Summary : No visible remains; the course of the Roman road is probably on the north mound of the Vallum. The easternmost end of this sector at NY 9738 6893 may be the point at which the Military Way "coincides" with the north mound of the Vallum.
More information : Horsley was able to trace the Military Way coming from Portgate as far west as the point near the `castellum' by St Oswald, which from his description is milecastle 25. At Portgate the road passes near `Hadrian's north agger' (Vallum north mound) `then coincides with it' (1a). No trace; course probably on north mound of Vallum. The easternmost end of this sector at NY 9738 6893 may be the point at which the Military Way "coincides" with the north mound of the Vallum. (1)
