More information : Part of a field system to the west of Cadbury Castle was recorded during the re-survey of the hillfort by RCHME. A long narrow field, immediately to the W of the SW entrance of Cadbury Castle, centred ST 6249 2516, is bounded on its western edge by strip lynchets. The presence of two transverse lynchets at ST 6250 2510 and ST 6251 2526 suggests that the form of this field system may have resulted from the modification of an earlier Celtic field system. (1) |
