More information : [NY 2610 4650] Roman altar found AD 1910 [TI] (1) An inscribed Roman Altar found in 1910 by Mr J Thompson (site owner) whilst ploughing, is now in the County Court at Wigton. (2) The find date of the altar has been revised to 1908. (3, 4, 5, 6) The altar was presented to Carlisle Museum, Cumbria by Miss Dudding, the daughter of the original owner. (6) The National Grid Reference for the site is: NY2610046499 (7)
