Summary : Conjectural site of a Roman tower - not located, it is assumed to be somewhere within NY 1961 (part of the Roman frontier defence).
More information : (NY 1947 6116) "T" marked in this position by W Ferguson 1880. (1) No surface traces. (2) There is dispute regarding the situation of tower 2a. Ferguson (see authority 1) positions it roughly on line between milefortlets 1 and 3; Bellhouse (3a) states that it is lost due to coastal erosion basing this supposition on his assumed position for milefortlet 2 on the salt flats which is unquestionable. On balance authority 1 is favoured, but there is no evidence either on the ground or on APs for this location. As yet the position of this tower is unknown; it is assumed to be somewhere within NY 1961. (3)
