Summary : A Premonstratensian grange of Croxton Abbey at Skeffington, extant from 1276-1539. The earthworks of enclosures and house platforms may represent this site or a shrunken Medieval village.
More information : SK 75 02 Documentary references from 1276, 1280, 1290, 1300, 1530s and 1539 provide excellent information on the grange at Skeffington although no siting evidence is given. (1)

An area of house platforms, mounds and enclosures at 750 024 which have provided Medieval pottery may represent this site or may be an SMV site. (2)
